H eidi and Noel met in a nightclub in 2000 and hit it off straight away... After a couple of years Heidi went to college to study horticulture and floristry at Writtle College in Essex for 3 years and did a work placement in Scotland for a year. Spending those 4 years apart taught them a lot about each other and what might of been tough for some people just made them both realize how much they meant to each other. While Heidi was away, Noel was working on Chicken rock lighthouse and was swept into the sea during some bad weather and had to be rescued by the lifeboats... it was heartbreaking to think of what could of happened so when she finished college they started to plan for their future more seriously. This involved opening the Flower Studio! And after another 4 years of hard work getting the business established they finally set a date for the wedding after being together for 13 years! Another milestone for them this year has been buying their first apartment together!

R ob and Lyndsey were introduced to each other at a friend’s barbecue during a May Bank Holiday. Lyndsey was a bit reserved on her first impression of Rob, but Rob took an immediate interest in Lyndsey.

About four weeks after their first meeting they met again in a bar along with friends during the T.T. Rob was on his way to work and Lyndsey was out for the night with her friends. Rob went over to Lyndsey just before he left for work and told her “If no-one else tells you, you look beautiful”.

It wasn’t until two weeks after T.T. that they started properly talking and getting to know each other. During one conversation Lyndsey brought up the idea of looking for the Golden Queenie and solving the riddles together. They worked out some clues and decided to meet up to go to Fenella Beach as this is where they thought it was buried but they were wrong. They may not have found the Golden Queenie, but found something a lot more special. Rob and Lyndsey talked every night and met up for drinks and meals.

Lyndsey had a holiday booked and she asked if Rob would like to go too, he jumped at the chance and joined Lyndsey. When they got back they were inseparable, and within four weeks of their return Lyndsey moved in with Rob along with his cat. They could not have been happier.

A few months later Rob took Lyndsey to Holland to meet his family. Rob’s family fell in love with Lyndsey. Upon their return they planned a holiday to Tenerife. It was there that Rob knew Lyndsey would be the girl he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. So Rob started thinking of ways to ask Lyndsey to marry him. Rob started searching for the perfect engagement ring and asked Lyndsey’s parents for permission.

Rob booked another trip to Holland. While they were there he had organised sightseeing and a shopping trip to Amsterdam followed by a romantic meal in a family restaurant in his home town of Ijmuiden. Nearing the end of the meal, coffee and complementary chocolates arrived. Lyndsey immediately ate hers and Rob took his chocolate in his hand and asked Lyndsey if she could guess which hand it was in she could have it if she guessed correctly. When Rob opened his hand there wasn’t a chocolate but a small ring sized box there instead and Rob asked Lyndsey to marry him, after the initial shock she shrieked “Yes!” The restaurant staff joined them in their celebration; they sang a traditional Dutch song and lit fireworks. Rob let Lyndsey keep the chocolate too.

Upon their return to the Isle of Man, they started planning their wedding and lives together.
They will tie the knot on the 6th of July 2013, and will be on honeymoon during the 11th of July to enjoy their 4th anniversary of their first date and Lyndsey still doesn’t know where they are going.
