ast week I met up with my lovely and talented friends Kat and Diana in London. I haven’t seen Kat since the
London photographers Meeting Up last year. It was so lovely to see them again!
We meant to spend the afternoon taking photos of each other. Instead we spent hours in the restaurant enjoying good food, good company and our life stories (It’s very important too ?) It’s only 1 year time since we met however there are so many changes in our lives and we all have grown in person and our photography careers. I’m so pleased that Kat and Diana have also done so well in their first year’s business. You can check Kat’s beautiful
website and her work / Diana’s
website and her work.
We had some crazy photos of each other before we say goodbye. I know you will say Diana looked so different from her
Beach Shoot and
Bridal Shoot . Isn’t she a great model? Kat and Diana, thank you for the lovely time. I hope we will see each other again soon. Lots of love, Shan x

espite being ill and having to return from my UK trip last week I had a great start for year 2012. There is so much to look forward to this year and lots of new adventures.
A few weeks a ago I received an email from Steve Redford the editor of
Gallery Isle of Man magazine regarding taking part in the Fashion Photography selection. I love the Gallery magazine. It’s a very stylish Island magazine and each month is themed and full of cultural and lifestyle features that include a fashion shoot using local fashion, models and stylists, beauty product and treatment reviews and lots more. I love fashion photography and had the experience of being a fashion photographer for my University magazines so I was so delighted to have this opportunity to take part in this amazing magazine.
It was fun and challenging to arrange models, select clothing, contact the location suppliers – all in one week in time for my debut Gallery photoshoot. I was working days and nights for inspiration and organizing the shoot. Luckily we had a sunny day but the temperature dropped to a few degrees. The photoshoot took place on Port Erin golf course and it was a very cold windy day! We had such a great time even though we were all frozen like lollipops. We all wanted to create some beautiful photos for the magazine and all the readers. I couldn’t thank everyone enough for their great support, especially the models Wendy, Giuseppe and my assistant David.
I also created the images for the Sefton Hotel Wedding Feature and Greyney Mooar Fine Art Ad in this February Love issue. They all look great! I believe you will enjoy the magazine.
The magazine has been distributed from Tuesday; you can drop in to any outlet and have a read or take a copy home with you. Locations include tourist information centers, hotels, shops, cafes, supermarkets, bars, offices, the airport, restaurants, salons and health clubs. The magazine will also be available to read online with a link on their
home page .
The fashion shoot planning for the next issue has already kicked off. It will be something totally new and creative with a new fashion collection from the local suppliers. You cannot miss out!
